Tom James – Come Thou Fount

Come thou fount of every blessing
Tune my heart to sing Thy grace Streams of mercy, never ceasing
Call for songs of loudest praise Now this grace I’m fixed upon it
Singing with the saints above Praise the Father, Son & Spirit
Blessed fount of endless love In the struggle, how I feel it
Daily now to slay my sin Yet from what I do inherit
Here Thy praises I’ll begin Here I trust my Lord and Saviour
For by Him, this far I’ve come And I know by His good pleasure
Shall this fight be ever won Jesus sought me when a stranger
Wandering from the ways of God He to rescue me from danger
So did spill his precious blood Of how great the cost of calv’ry
Mortal tongue can never tell Though a sinner, He has bought me
Words cannot express it well O to grace how great a debtor
Daily I’m constrained to be! Let Thy goodness, ever present
Bind my wandering heart to Thee Prone to wander, Lord I feel it
Prone to leave the God I love Have my heart Lord, take and seal it
Seal it for thy courts above On that day when freed from sinning
I shall see Thy lovely face Clothed then in blood washed linen
How I’ll sing Thy sovereign grace Quicken Lord Thy great returning
Bring Thy promises to pass For I know Thy pow’r will keep me
Till I’m home with Thee at last
